What is Aluminium Honeycomb Panel?

Bolliya Aluminium Honeycomb Panel is a sandwich panel made with two aluminium sheets laminated to a honeycomb core, by using two components PU glue and through a thermal laminating process. The honeycomb core is an imitation of natural beehive structure which is hexagonal shape, thus it's light weighted but strong and firm.

Aluminium skin thickness: 0.5mm, 0.7mm, 0.8mm, 1mm

Aluminium alloy: 3003

Cell size: A6 (3/8''=9.5mm cell diameter), other cell size available upon request

Coating: PVDF coating, FEVE coating, Polyester Coating, Anodized surface 

Panel edge: covered edge, open edge, prefabricated edge as per drawing

Features of Bolliya Aluminium Honeycomb Panel:

1. Super flatness even for big size panel up to 2200x11800mm. It's ideal decorative material to be used for projects that need less joints and want a neat & flat wall elevation. 

2. Light weighted panel when comparing to aluminium solid panels or aluminium composite panel. For example a 10mm (1mm +0.7mm) thick aluminium honeycomb panel is only 5.8kgs/m2, but a 3mm thick solid aluminium panel is 8.16kgs/m2.

3. High fire retardant property as per GB8624 to be classified as A2 & pass BS476 part 4 testing, it's deemed as non combustible material. So it can be used for projects especially high rise building or big public buildings that requires high fire retardant grade. A non combustible decorative panel won't help the fire accident to spread and it will gives more time for people inside the building to evacuate, that would reduce the numbers of possible casualties. 

4. Aluminium honeycomb panel is available in different colors and surface to meet different design requirements.

5. Generally aluminium honeycomb panel is prefabricated as per drawing from customer, at job site the installers just need to hang on the pre-ffab panels, it's fast and easy.

Installation of Bolliya Aluminium Honeycomb Panel:

Cassette system of 25mm Aluminium Honeycomb Panel, by embedding aluminium profiles inside the honeycomb panel and the honeycomb panel is prefabricated as per drawings, the joints between panels are sealed up by using clamping and capping system. Or the honeycomb panels can be fabricated into cassettes and installed with silicon sealant for filling up the joints.
